Leadership

The people who hold the network up

In its first year, BBN is led by seven volunteer leaders. They look after the calendar, the quality of the gatherings and, above all, the people who walk through the door.

Structure

Seven leaders, three pillars

A General Leader is responsible for the direction of the network. Each pillar has two leaders who share planning and execution throughout the year.

“Leaders develop leaders.”

No BBN leader is there to shine alone. The job of each one is to form the next: delegate for real, teach along the way and make room for whoever comes behind.

Method

The leadership cycle

Four steps repeated at every event, meeting and training. It's what keeps the network consistent without depending on one person.

  1. Plan

Set the goal, the date and what success means for that gathering — before inviting the first person.
  2. Delegate

Hand out responsibilities with a name and a deadline, giving new leaders real room to learn by doing.
  3. Execute

Deliver what was agreed, well: start on time, content prepared and every guest properly welcomed.
  4. Evaluate

Listen to the participants, name what worked and fix what didn't before the next cycle begins.
